about

music by Ron Miller, lyrics by David Thorne Scott
(from the liner notes by Will Friedwald)
"Small Feats" is a witty variant on "Giant Steps," much the same way that Coltrane classic was itself based on "I Got Rhythm." If those chords aren't a welcome invitation for a scat chorus, I can't imagine what would be.

lyrics

Little things mean a lot
When you try to reveal
How you feel
About life, what you do, and who you are
There’s a long way to go
But not far
When you know that you can do anything
Long as the steps are small
Don’t you care at all
About the time that it takes
Or your heart as it breaks in two
Don’t you know it’s true
That when you discover the way that completes you
Then giant steps become Small Feats
